Lauren Conrad Promotes Natural High Living

The public can thank Lauren Conrad for much more than the success of MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” and recognize her for the epitome role model she is.

Conrad is the latest star to be featured on NATURALHIGH.TV, an online film series that uses celebrities, bands, and professional athletes as messengers to inspire youth to choose a natural high and reject drugs. The most recent installment highlights Conrad living out her natural highs as reality star, fashion designer extraordinaire, and New York Times bestselling author.

“I think when you’re so involved with drugs you have such a lack of interest and you just don’t care about your future,” says the tireless fashionista. Immediately after high school Lauren was exposed to an excessive amount of drugs and alcohol in the entertainment industry. She didn’t let her acquaintance with the media drive her early found passion out the window by staying committed to her desire to pursue a long term career that she could appreciate. “It’s the same story over and over again, people don’t really learn from it. If it gets out there that you’re getting into bad things, that’s your career, that’s your future,” Conrad comments remaining captivated by the importance of passion and living drug free.

Family and an agenda keep Lauren away from drug use. “Lauren always had a passion for fashion and design. It’s been so important to her,” says her father Jim Conrad. That adoration for fashion gives Lauren an anti-drug and makes this practical girl such a phenomenal success. “With fashion it was just this is what I want, so this is what I am going to do,” she told Natural High. “I just genuinely didn’t want to do them, never really had an interest (in drugs).”
